Corporate Health Programs and Information Focus of Business LaunchAugust 5, 2002
Balanced Concepts started in 1998 – the concept was to promote corporate health and fitness initiatives in Canberra and surrounding region. Not much happened four years ago, but now in 2002 the time is right. “Back four years ago, corporate health and well-being was in its infancy and managers were very sceptical about using massage or having fitness sessions in the workplace. The value of the programs were questioned,” commented Dr Dion Klein, Director of Balanced Concepts. “What the United States had been and gone through in the corporate market was only just beginning here in Australia, particularly Canberra.”
In today’s local and national climate with excessive overtime and workplace stress receiving much media attention, managers are beginning to explore these initiatives. With the re-launching of the company on Tuesday, August 6th at the Business Doing Business Trade Fair at the National Convention Centre, Balanced Concepts has broadened its brief to the following areas:
Balanced Concepts will officially launch at 2 pm on August 6th showcasing an interactive demonstration of its services as well as promoting Canberra’s corporate health newsletter. At 4.40 pm, fitness instructor Wendy Foster will give another stage demonstration.
