Dion has has a very diverse 25-year career in health, fitness, education, recreation and business. He is an international speaker and writer and has facilitated a number of panels (interview style).

Dr Dion has been involved in the health and fitness industry for 25 years as an instructor, massage therapist and business owner. In the United States he owned a small marketing consultancy and had his own massage practice before being appointed as a lecturer and course convenor at the University of Canberra in Sport Administration in 1994. He then worked as an Internet Strategist/Business Analyst at MIMS Data Systems before embarking on his personal entrepreneurial endeavours in IT, education, health and fitness. He was the founder of the Corporate Health and Fitness Challenge and the Health and Fitness Expo. He served on the Board of Fitness ACT for eight years, four of them as President.
Dion has always enjoyed going to school and learning having undergraduate and graduate degrees in Health & Physical Education (sports administration focus) from West Chester University (PA), Temple University (PA), and the University of New Mexico. He completed his MBA (Internet Marketing/International Business) from Charles Sturt University, and received a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from the University of Canberra. He holds a Certificate III in Fitness, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, and a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice. He has also completed a modules in Career Counseling.
He appreciates the importance of life balance having to manage two Canberra-based companies: Diverse Concepts International Pty Ltd with its two divisions of Healthy Worksites, and Savvy Travel Solutions/a> and The WISE Academy/a>, a registered training organisation specialising in the delivery of sport, fitness, health, recreation and business education.
Though Dion sees forming, building and growing his company as 'play', he takes 'time out' walking his beloved 'Shadow' (a 12-year old miniature fox terrier), reading, taking photos, writing, traveling and catching up with friends and family. He feels his mission in life is to create opportunities for business and allow people to have fun, and become healthier. What drives him? His desire to contribute and 'make a difference'.
